PROTECTION TRAINING

Caring, committed to the well-being of others, respectful but protective

Our “Hero” dogs aredisciplined, caring, respectful and committed to the well-being of others while being protective, especially their owners and their families. We achieve this result by starting with both dog and owner who have already had basic, “companion” training and then teaching both how to interact effectively for a higher level of discipline and with protection as a first priority to the greatest satisfaction of both.

Hero Program

Hero Program[Prerequisite: Advanced Obedience and EVALUATION to determine if dog has the right personality to do the Hero Program]

  • Proper and clear communication between handler and dog
  • Perfect obedience and following all commands first time given
  • Psychology of Protection vs. Aggression
  • Barking on command to protect house, or individual

NOTE: In the Hero program, the dog is not taught to bite, he is only taught to alert and alarm the family if an intruder is approaching. He is also taught to ward off on command any suspicious stranger approaching, without biting, or getting physical. He is known as an “ALARM DOG”

Super Hero Program

Super Hero Program[Prerequisite: Advanced Obedience and Evaluation to determine if dog has the right personality to do the Super Hero Program]

  •  Proper and clear communication between handler and dog
  • Perfect obedience and following all commands first time given (on and off leash)
  • Psychology of Protection vs. Aggression
  • Protection training with decoy, in order to learn how to ‘bite’ properly and let go on command.
  • Watch command, to keep unwanted person, or stranger, at bay.
  • Personal and/or Home and/or property protection

NOTE: In the Super Hero program, the dog is taught to watch without out biting, and to bite on command. He is also taught to let go on command and stop protection immediately when commanded to do so. The dog will be safe and happy around all people, children, and other dogs. The dog will only attack on command, and when the family, is threatened.  The Super Hero program does NOT change the dogs personality, it helps the dog gain skills to protect, but he will not use these skills unless he is commanded to do so (as a black belt in Karate).
