- Certified therapy dog (Level 3)
Level 1 (On Leash Trained Companion Dogs)
The dogs in the Level 1 package are on leash trained only. Meaning that when out in public they have been trained to walk on a leash beautifully, perform the sit and down commands fluently when told to do so, hold extremely solid stays, and respond reliably to the come command while on a long line. All of our level 1 dogs will also perform all of these commands around the highest of distractions.
Even though the dogs in level 1 are primarily trained to respond only while on leash out in the public we do however train them and require them to listen off-leash to their commands while inside of their own home.
Who is the perfect owner of a Level 1 dog? This would be an owner who prefers to keep their dogs on leash at all times when in public, and who is not interested in taking dog out of house, unless it is for a short walk around the neighborhood or to the vet. However, they do want the dog to listen in the house and its own yard at all times. They also want the dog to exhibit great manners and social skills with guests and family members alike.
Commands included in this package:
- • Heel (on leash)
- • Sit
- • Sit/Stay
- • Down
- • Down/ stay
- • Come
- • Leave It
- • Finish (which is returning to your left leg when given the Finish command)
- • Place command (having dog go to a bed, mat, or any other object owner chooses and cannot leave object until given the release word)
- • Break command (which is the core command that all of our dogs obedience commands revolve around) for example when the dog is in Heel and we want to release them to go to the bathroom or to go play, or if the dog is in a stay command and you want to release them without having to come to you, or the dog has been put on its Place object and you want to let them off of it to be able to now roam around freely. So, you can see how important the Break command is because it has an attachment to every command that the dog knows and is a crucial component to the whole obedience system.
Polite Behaviors:
Sitting politely at the front door when guests enter your home so there is no jumping up on people, crowding guests, or the dog being very pushy trying to get attention and acknowledgement from your guests which can be highly annoying to anyone who enters your home.
When out on walks and people come over to say hello to you or your dog we make sure there is no jumping or lunging up on people from the overload of stimulation that people cause in a dog from those overly excitable greetings.
No begging for food, no tearing or damaging property.
Travels well in car.
No aggression towards humans (adults or children) , other dogs or cats and well behaved, well socialized.
No potty training accidents. Housebroken.
Level 2 (Off Leash Trained Companion Dogs)
The dogs in the Level 2 package are completely off-leash trained. Meaning that when out in public they have been trained to walk off a leash beautifully, perform the sit and down commands fluently when told to do so, hold extremely solid stays, and respond reliably to the come command while off leash. All of our level 2 dogs will also perform all of these commands around the highest of distractions while off a leash.
All Level 2 dogs are trained around real world scenarios and distractions to assure that they have the highest level of obedience possible while off leash. They will also perform off leash while at home, and obey all commands always.
Who is the perfect owner of a Level 2 dog? Anyone! Any owner who is interested in spot on real world obedience, anywhere, anytime, this is the type of dog for them. Great dogs for families who love to take their dog with them out of the house. To cafes, or dog parks, the beach, or travel…or who just want to have their dog jog or walk alongside them on a trail, or around their neighborhood. Level 2 dogs are by far the most popular request we get and the best trained dogs you will EVER encounter!
